Professional biography

Summary of professional experience
I have been working directly in Quality and Risk roles for nearly a decade. My experience includes working in Clinical Risk, Project Management, Quality improvement and Patient safety.

I am passionate about supporting health services and frontline staff in managing risk and effective incident resolution and recommendation implementation.

I have been involved in leading and coordinating many Root Cause Analysis' and Systems reviews in both the public and private acute care setting in both Queensland and Victoria.

I am also a Registered Nurse with experience in both surgical ward environments and primary healthcare.

My current role is as the Quality & Risk Consultant at St Vincent's Private Melbourne. In this role, I am responsible for managing the quality and risk for the Werribee site. This includes incident management, complaints management, systems review, quality improvement coordination and staff and consumer engagement in line with the National Standards.
Summary of incident review experience
I have lead and coordinated over 15 Root Cause Analysis investigations throughout my career in both the public and private acute care settings. In addition to leading these, I have been involved in other Root Cause Analysis as a team member.

I have lead and coordinated countless systems reviews (In-Depth Review/Critical Systems Reviews etc.). In total, this would equate to well over 150 - 200 reviews.

In my current role and two of my previous roles, I have been involved in a peer review framework. These reviews have remained within the same organization but across different sites/directorates.

I am responsible for the daily management of all incidents regardless of the severity level (ISR/SAC). This includes database management (VHIMS/.Riskman), appropriate investigation with the clinical area, reporting and quality improvement implementation.

I am also experienced in incident data trending.
