Professional biography

Summary of professional experience
My current role is Operational Director of Medicine and Acute Admitted Services at Albury Wodonga Health, a rural health service with sites in both Victoria and New South Wales. I am a Registered Nurse who identifies strongly with the patient/consumer experience and access to health care for these people in a regional setting.
I believe I can contribute a real appetite to implement improvements, the rural/regional perspective, and a broad health experience to work within a collective, interdisciplinary team to drive change. My multi-faceted roles at Albury Wodonga Health have allowed me the fortunate position of having a global view of the health service and an understanding of how competing demands for resources can impact access to safe care.
I am a member of the Victorian Clinical Council and I also have been appointed to the Executive of this Council. I am the Chair of the Tallangatta Health Service Board Safe Quality Care Committee.
Summary of incident review experience
On a daily basis I review and guide incident management across Albury Wodonga Health. I have a personal interest in complaints management and how we can use both compliments and complaints to drive system improvements. I lead, review and sign off in depth case reviews and their recommendations. I am also tasked with developing actions from the recommendations and leading the team in implementing and sustaining these. I have participated in RCAs several times.

As the Chair of the Tallangatta Health Service Board Safe Quality Care Committee I have led the development of their Safe Quality Care Committee including using the state framework to look at how we use data including patient experience to inform the care delivered.
