Each week thousands of children receive chiropractic care in Australia. To inform our review we want to hear real stories from parents right across Australia, as well as case studies from care providers.
An independent panel, established by Safer Care Victoria (SCV), is reviewing the chiropractic practice of spinal care for children under 12. Now SCV is asking you to share your views and experiences of this practice by participating in the online consultation.
This is an important issue for parents who choose this care for their children, an important aspect of full-family care provided by chiropractors, and an area that other members of the community care strongly about.
Your contribution will form an important part of this review, and our simple online survey balances drop down choices with your ability to tell your own story. Through the consultation we will hear from parents and families, chiropractors who provide care, other healthcare providers and stakeholder groups.
The panel includes industry representatives, medical and chiropractic professionals, and childcare experts. We are committed to ensuring that a robust and transparent process is used to examine and assess all available evidence.
When our review is complete, the panel will work together to provide recommendations regarding this practice to the Victorian Minister for Health. These recommendations will be considered by all Australian health ministers later this year.
As the panel systematically reviews the evidence of paediatric spinal care, your individual stories will help us ensure that the best-informed decision is made for the future of chiropractic care for children.
