Trialling a system for patient and family escalation of care, establishing clinical networks for mental health and infection control, and supporting health services to better manage delirium, identify fetal growth restriction and reduce perineal tears.
These are just some of the activities Safer Care Victoria (SCV) will undertake to support health services across the state and contribute to improved healthcare for all Victorians.
Established in January 2017, Safer Care Victoria has released a clear vision for the next three years, outlining how it will help improve healthcare quality and safety.
In identifying its strategic priorities, SCV undertook significant consultation on the most pressing issues for our health sector, as well the learnings from Targeting zero and findings from similar reviews.
