Safer Care Victoria’s Maternity and Newborn Clinical Network is excited to welcome six new regional midwives to the team.
Each of the midwives will be based out in a specific region and will work collaboratively with maternity and newborn services and the network. The regional midwives will bring their expertise and leadership skills to support ongoing improvement work in the maternity and neonatal space.
Kylie Osborne – Gippsland region
Kylie comes from Latrobe Regional Health. She has extensive experience in clinical midwifery practice and education, ongoing statewide work with the Maternity eHandbook and SCV Academy, and brings a wealth of knowledge from her previous regional role
Amanda Tuohill – Hume region
Amanda is a clinical midwife specialist, PROMPT coordinator and Masters student from Kilmore and District Hospital. Amanda will bring her passion for maternity care, collaboration and ongoing professional development to the Hume region.
Rebecca Threlfall – Hume region
Rebecca comes from Goulburn Valley Health and is accustomed to a varied professional life, juggling work as a clinical midwife specialist with roles in special care nursery and childbirth education. Rebecca will work with Amanda across the Hume region.
Annemarie McKenzie – Grampians region
Annemarie is a highly experienced nurse and midwife from Ballarat Health Services, with well-established leadership, change management and project work skills, and ongoing statewide experience with the Maternity eHandbook. Annemarie will be based at Ballarat and work across the Grampians region.
Suzanne Hartney – Loddon Mallee region
Suzanne comes from Bendigo Health with a background in midwifery and paediatric and neonatal nursing, and ongoing commitment to statewide work with the Neonatal eHandbook. Suzanne will be based in Bendigo and work with the Loddon Mallee services.
Laura Eastwood – Barwon South West region
Laura is a clinical midwife specialist from Barwon Health, with a passion for women’s and children’s health, and experience in research, education and clinical support. Laura will be based in Geelong and work across the Barwon South West region.
