Expressions of interest have now closed.

Safer Care Victoria’s Maternity and Newborn Clinical Network is looking for consumers and obstetricians to join its committees and support statewide healthcare improvement for mothers and babies.

Governance committee

The network’s governance committee provides guidance and oversight to support the network, represents clinician and consumer member interests, and engages with Safer Care Victoria.

Insight subcommittee

Working in collaboration with the governance committee, the insight subcommittee plays a vital role in defining a set of safety and quality indicators and advises the network on the use of data and evidence.

Who are we looking for?

Governance committee:

  • consumers with lived experience as a mother or providing neonatal care
  • obstetricians from regional health services.

Insight subcommittee:

  • consumers with lived experience as a mother or providing neonatal care
  • obstetricians with experience across the public and private health system.

What’s involved?

As a member of the Maternity and Newborn Clinical Network committees, you will support the network in providing clinical leadership, expertise and advice on the healthcare of mothers and babies across Victoria.

This is an opportunity to participate in strategic planning to enhance care for mothers and newborns across Victoria. Consumers will work collaboratively with clinicians to drive and promote clinical best practice, research and innovation, and quality improvement in maternity and newborn care.
