Interested in taking a deep dive into Victoria’s voluntary assisted dying data and using your research skills to compare our experience with overseas programs?
We’re looking for a higher degree research student to be part of the first research project for the Voluntary Assisted Dying Review Board.
This is a unique opportunity to access information about those who have chosen an assisted death in Victoria, which became the first state to introduce voluntary assisted dying more than two years ago.
Who should apply?
Students at Master and PhD level from Victorian universities and medical research institutes, as nominated by their primary supervisor.
What is the research project?
This three-month project gives you the opportunity to:
- complete a comprehensive literature review detailing the characteristics of individuals who access comparable programs overseas
- contribute to research comparing the characteristics of Victorians accessing voluntary assisted dying to the international evidence
- present a final written literature review to the Board.
Basic deidentified data is released regularly by the Board.
