An independent panel of experts will review the practice of spinal manipulation on children under 12.

This review has concluded. SCV's final report is available here.

The panel will:

  • examine and assess the available evidence, including information from consumers, providers, and other stakeholders, for the use of spinal manipulation by chiropractors on children less than 12 years of age
  • provide recommendations regarding this practice to the Victorian Minister for Health.

The panel will be chaired by Safer Care Victoria CEO Professor Euan Wallace AM, with experts in paediatrics and musculoskeletal care, consumers, and representatives from the Chiropractic Board of Australia and Australian Chiropractors Association.

The panel will call for public submissions next month.
