As reported in October’s VAHI news, VAHI is building a new, authenticated health reporting portal (VAHI portal) that will be accessible for all health services via secure login – due for release in 2020.

We had a strong response to our call for assistance, with 20 health services now taking part in a pilot of the VAHI portal. The pilot started in early November and runs through to January 2020. Delegates from the health services involved will test the functionality of the portal and provide feedback on the processes and usability.

The health services taking part are:

  • Alexandra District Health
  • Alfred Health
  • Ballarat Health Services
  • Barwon Health
  • Beaufort & Skipton Health Service
  • Benalla Health
  • Djerriwarrh Health Services
  • Eastern Health
  • Hepburn Health Service
  • Kilmore & District Hospital
  • Kyneton District Health Service
  • Mansfield District Hospital
  • Melbourne Health
  • Mercy Health
  • Northeast Health Wangaratta
  • Peninsula Health
  • Royal Children’s Hospital
  • St Vincent's
  • Western Health
  • Wimmera Health Care Group.

We would like to thank the health services involved and, in particular, the staff at each health service who will be using the pilot version of the portal. We are looking forward to working with you over the coming months.

The pilot participants will be able to provide feedback across all aspects of the site – navigation, content, PDF downloads, scope of data presented and visualisations. Through their involvement, they will be contributing to the development of a system that will improve the way health services across Victoria access and interact with data and information provided by VAHI.
