Kym recently commenced the role of Improvement and Innovation Advisor in November 2018. Prior to the position, she worked within the acute and community programs as a registered nurse at Northeast Health Wangaratta.
Kym’s position within community nursing allowed her to implement quality improvement activities and recognise the positive change it can have on the organisation and the care provided to the clients/ patients.
The role of Improvement and Innovation Advisor at Northeast Health Wangaratta oversees organisation-wide improvement and innovation activities, including the implementation of BCV and SCV programs and provides coaching and training to all staff on quality improvement activities within the organisation.
- Supported implementation of the SCV End PJ paralysis project at Northeast Health Wangaratta (2018-19)
- Facilitated the Goal Directed Care Planning in District Nursing Services project (2018), the project aimed to educate nurses working within DNS to ensure they were developing care plans that were client driven and supported the clients goals.
