Speakers

Dr Manisha Koppa, NorthWestern Mental Health

Dr Manisha Koppa is working as a Psychiatry HMO with NorthWestern Mental Health, currently at Orygen Youth Health. She completed her internship last year at Bendigo Health where she joined the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) as a hospital representative. This year, Manisha is one of the Wellbeing Officers, a member of JMO Victoria's executive committee. Along with Rachel Cheong (Wellbeing Officer), Manisha is one of the leads on the new initiative 'The Wellbeing Champion Award' which was created last year in the midst of COVID-19 which has gained a lot of traction.

Dr Chris Chew, Alfred Hospital

Dr Christopher Chew is currently working as Victorian Melanoma Service Registrar at Alfred Hospital, while concurrently undertaking a PhD in dermatology at Monash University, Central Clinical School. He is the founder of the JMO Victoria Community, inaugural co-chair of the reformed JMO Victoria (renamed from JMO Forum Victoria) and Doctor in Training Liason officer for the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV). Dr Chew has worked at a number of Victoria health services, including regional hospitals, previously working as a medical registrar at Monash Health, and currently working as a surgical resident at West Gippsland Healthcare Group and general hospital medical officer at Latrobe Regional Hospital. Chris has also been an assistant for the medical administration and medical workforce units at Monash Health, and has active involvement in junior doctor governance and representative bodies at both Monash Health and Alfred Health. His diverse experience has allowed him to identify and recognise the multitude of challenges faced by junior doctors in different workplace environments, and has driven his passion to improve the wellbeing of junior doctors across the state of Victoria.
