Safer Care Victoria together with the Health and Wellbeing Division of the Department of Health and Human Services hosted a webinar to showcase some of the innovative models of caring for COVID-19 positive patients. 

This webinar presented recent efforts in developing and piloting virtual and in-home care and shared the experience of other COVID-19 positive care pathways across the state. 

Topics presented included: 

  • A model for COVID-19 positive care: Provision of healthcare services to COVID-19 patients through a combination of acute, primary and community-based virtual care
  • COVID-19 positive care pathways and care provided through the Melbourne Health virtual ward: The relationships and roles across sectors and how the model follows patient needs as they change 
  • COVID-19 Hospital in the Home: The Djerriwarrh Health Service experience and practical side of patient care
