In response to a Coroner’s recommendation, Safer Care Victoria hosted a webinar on Reducing the risks of vascular access haemorrhage.
The webinar highlighted the importance of educating patients, carers and healthcare workers about the risks of arteriovenous fistula haemorrhage for patients having haemodialysis, the responses, and the need for clear escalation processes in order to provide the best possible care.

The intended audience was health professionals caring for patients having haemodialysis in public and private health services.
To provide different perspectives on the topic, presenters included:
