The statewide tender for Victorian public and community health services’ Victorian Health Incident Management System (VHIMS) arrangement is now ready – with two options for services:

  • Option 1: Onboard to the Department’s VHIMS Central Solution (CS), which has already been implemented in 39 predominantly smaller Victorian public and community health services
  • Option 2: Implement their own VHIMS Local Solution (LS), which is a modifiable version of the VHIMS CS better suited to larger health services that wish to have more customisation.

The outcomes of the VHIMS statewide tender have now been finalised.

For option 1, KPMG has been awarded the contract to provide onboarding and training services to join the VHIMS CS.

For option 2, Aldicion and Dialog IT are the successful suppliers to implement the VHIMS LS.

Health services interested should visit the VHIMS page on the Better Safer Care website for further information and contact details for the appointed suppliers.

Health services are also able to elect to stay with their current provider or negotiate a bespoke off-the-shelf solution using another vendor, providing the VHIMS minimum dataset can be transferred to VAHI via the software by 1 July 2021.
