VAHI was created in 2017 as part of Victorian Government reforms to overhaul quality and safety across Victoria’s healthcare system. In February 2021, VAHI was integrated into the Victorian Department of Health.

VAHI delivers trusted information to inform better decisions that improve the health and wellbeing of Victorians.

Through a comprehensive reporting program, VAHI provides timely, accurate and meaningful information on quality and safety to health services, government and the Victorian community.

VAHI serves the Victorian community and those responsible for oversight, transparency, accountability and improvements in services dedicated to improving health and wellbeing.
The Victorian Agency for Health Information was established in 2017 as part of an overhaul of health services by the Victorian Government.
The Strategic plan sets out our road map for 2019–22 and includes our revised mission, values and themes that we will work across.
