The Critical Care Clinical Network undertakes priority projects to improve quality and safety in critical care settings across Victoria.

The aim of this project is to improve clinical practice in assessment and monitoring of pain, agitation and delirium in Victorian ICUs
This initiative will standardise the nine medications that support the heart across all intensive care units.
This initiative will produce resources for medical emergency teams to improve patient care and experience

Other projects

Together with the sector, the network has identified five priorities areas:

  • developing a system-wide critical care clinical dashboard
  • standardising clinical guidelines
  • responding to deteriorating patients outside the ICU
  • improving timely access into ICU and onto the next phase of care in the wards
  • building a sustainable workforce.
